At the beach, Naomi, Adrianna and Silver watch the Surf Team tryouts and Naomi brings up to the group that she might have some doubts about Annie not sleeping with Liam after the bathroom confrontation. This is not elaborated on due to Silver cheering for Dixon and being a complete psycho about it. Dixon makes the team as does Liam and Teddy. Happy days!
Jen visits Ryan Matthews in his classroom to thank him for the necklace he gave her at the beginning of the episode. They lock the classroom doors and make whoopee and The CW really needs to talk to their sound supervisors or something, because the music clearly drowns out the dialogue at inopportune moments.
Back at the beach, the drama continues as Silver calls Dixon again, but sees when he ignores her call. I can hear her heart breaking from my living room couch it is that excruciating. Liam gets advice from Dixon and Navid about girls, which is like asking a meat packer for tips on trading in the stock market. Navid let slip that Naomi still has feelings for Liam, which gives Liam a new lease on life. Navid tries to apologize to Adrianna about being an asshole then under the same breath demands her not talk to Teddy. Smooth move, Navid. Adrianna, of course, didn’t take kindly to this either.
Liam makes it his business to go talk to Naomi, but is met by the Hell on Heels Jen. Liam declares to Jen that Naomi will know everything that happened that night and Jen provokes him by making him mad enough to punch the glass door of Naomi and Jen’s house. Liam hides this faux pas from his stepfather, but his mother tells him one more false move and he will be on his own.
Later, Naomi asks Jen what is the deal with Ryan Matthews and Jen claims that she is playing Ryan like a fiddle to hide from her actual rich suitor that she is after him for his money. Naomi then reveals that she did go on the date with Donny to learn how to send the text, but decided to have a change of heart after both Annie and Liam both claim to not have slept with each other. Jen, being the bitch she is, instills the fear of God into Naomi by saying that Naomi is acting the same way that their mother did when she found out that their father was being unfaithful. Naomi quickly whips out her cell and sends the text.
The next day the school is abuzz with Annie’s pic and Annie is about to breakdown when Silver rescues her. The two bond for all of 60 seconds until Silver refuses to believe that Naomi was the culprit in sending the text. Annie runs off hurt, leaving Silver confused. In an attempt to gain brownie points with the viewers, maybe, Dixon finds Mark and knocks him on his ass. While I applauded his act of affection for Annie, it is too little too late and he is still on my ish list.
The show ends with Annie sitting in a classroom all alone, while Teddy’s interview plays all over the school. When Navid asks Teddy on the TV if he had anything bad happen to him, Teddy declares that finding the dead body of a homeless man on the side of the road as his answer.
Somebody give Annie some tissue, a bottle of JD, and some Xanax, STAT!!!
Will Annie bounce back and bring hell to West Beverly? Will Liam take down Jen? Will Navid be a good friend to Dixon and convince him to get rid of that box haircut?!??!
