I agree on the tongue-in-cheek investigation caper shows. I loved them so much when I was younger, and over the years. But I just got to where I couldn't stand to watch many of them in more recent years. I've read a few reviews that said they didn't think the chemistry between Fillion and Stana Katic was as good as Bones, but that it was comparable. And I have faith that the detective will get better. The Pilot episode was very much about introducing us to Fillion's character.

Yeah, Stana Katic was an unknown to me as well. And I'm totally with you on the CSI and CSI-NY comments. I'll be checking out some other future episodes of Castle soon, so I'll let you know if the show is continuing to look good and get better!

I used to really enjoy the tongue-in-cheek investigative caper show, I think it's why I enjoy Bones so much, so I'm pretty exited to see this come out.

Pity about the one-note Detective, I hope she gets flushed-out as the series progresses.

But really, I'll watch just about anything that has Nathan Fillion hamming it up on-screen.

I saw my first commercial for this yesterday. I can't tell you how long it's been since an ad made me sit up and say, "Hey, that series looks *really* good!" I've always enjoyed Nathan Fillion's projects and I'm hoping this lives up to the quality of his other work. I didn't recognize Stana Katic from anywhere so she will be an unknown for me going in. From the brief glimpse, it looks smart and funny and not-shot-in-the-dark (yes, CSI and CSI-NY I'm talking to you.) I'm looking forward to having something to watch on Mondays now.
