AMC had its own presentation at the TCAs this weekend and it announced the return and season premiere dates for three of its shows, as well as details about the new seasons.
Up first is The Walking Dead, which will return from its extended midseason hiatus on Sunday, February 12. In addition, the network has also decided to extend the length of the show's third season, which will now consist of 16 episodes (building on the 13 episode second season).
Next is The Killing, which suffered a lot of critical and viewer flack at the end of its first season when the show failed to answer its central mystery: who killed Rosie Larsen? The series is returning with a two-hour season premiere on Sunday, April 1. But fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their answers. AMC's head of original programming, Joel Stillerman, confirmed that the killer would not be revealed until the second season finale.
Lastly is Mad Men, which has been off the air for a while now. AMC has confirmed that the drama's fifth season will return with a two-hour season premiere on Sunday, March 25.
