American Horror Story: Asylum has the medicine you need to survive the horror you will experience this fall.
Today marked the release of another teaser through FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum Facebook page, which has become the source for all things new about the Emmy nominated runaway hit, which will premiere on October 17th. The teaser, dubbed “Taste,” returns to the cryptic nature some of the earlier teasers which were released last week. The AHS: Asylum Facebook page declared that their “doctors always know best,” which could mean a plethora of things once you watch this clip. Take a look:
From a glance, it seems as if the doctors of the asylum will also be the spiritual leaders (or “saviors”) for the patients, or vice versa. That marriage of faith and science might not be a good thing in this case, due to the two being totally different entities, especially during the 1960s. Then there is the complex situation of the patients having to take certain medications and endure certain experiments all because it’s in God’s will (faith) and it will help them get better in the long run (science). In the grand scheme of American Horror Story: Asylum, the marriage of faith and science could be an unholy union in the same vein as Tate (a ghost) was with Vivien (a human). At least, that’s where my money is.
