American Horror Story Asylum Promo Pics

After the string of ultra weird American Horror Story season 2 promos, we’re as pumped as ever to see what the twisted minds of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have cooked up for us.  The first season was very much a love letter to fans of the American interpretation of the genre, layering the classic haunted house motif with fears that reflected very specific niches of Americana.  For American Horror Story: Asylum Murphy and Falchuk will use a mental home as the backdrop for their story.  From fear to insanity is a pretty broad leap in terms of just how deep and dark you can get, the premise alone promises a scarier American Horror Story.

The first batch of pics really doesn’t give us much more indication of the story, but they might explain a few of the characters positions in the story in more detail, or not.  If nothing else, they are one more reminder to get excited for American Horror Story‘s October return.  Mash the arrows up top to get a look inside the madness.
