American Horror Story Update: New Cast Member Announced

American Horror StoryAnother piece of the American Horror Story season two puzzle was announced today adding yet another famous face to the ever growing cast of the creepy FX series.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jenna Dewan, known for movies such as Step it Up, will play the other half of ‘The Lovers’alongside Adam Levine in the much talked about upcoming season of American Horror Story. Dewan joins a growing list of celebrities that includes Mark Consuelos, Joseph Fiennes, Chloe Sevigny, and James Cromwell that have all signed on for Ryan Murphy’s latest take on the horror series.

Besides the many new faces to American Horror Story, there are a few returning favorites as well. Jessica Lange is slated to play an institution administrator, who also happens to be a nun. Zachary Quinto, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulson will be returning as well, however, in completely different roles than that of season one.

As previously reported, the dynamics of season two of American Horror Story will be completely different from those we grew accustomed to in season one. This time around, the story will take place in the 1960’s on the east coast in an institute for the criminally insane. Mr. Murphy, in an interview with TV Guide, assured viewers that this season will lack one element that was on the forefront previously: Ghosts. Although fans of the series won’t be watching any of the undead walking amongst the living, Murphy has promised that it will be ‘horrifying,’none the less.

Season two of American Horror Story, which just scored an impressive seventeen Emmy nominations, is set to air in October on FX.
