American Idol: Jermaine Jones to be Kicked Off for Concealing Arrests

Jermaine JonesTMZ is reporting that American Idol contestant Jermaine Jones is to be kicked off the show after it was discovered he was arrested twice last year and has outstanding warrants.

A Top 12 contestant, Jones reportedly lied to American Idol producers about his brushes with the law. One of the incidents is said to have involved violence.

And even worse, both times he was arrested he lied to police giving them fake names.

But this isn’t the first time he’s raised eyebrows. This surprising development comes to light after Jones was caught lying to American Idol producers about his father abandoning him ten years ago. His father called TMZ and revealed that in fact they see each other regularly.

Jones then took to Twitter, denying that he had ever said to producers that his father abandoned him. Suspicious producers started to look into his background leading to the discovery of his arrests.

He tweeted “Awww I will no longer b on the show” but deleted the message not long after.

Jones was confronted on camera about his indiscretions in footage taped Tuesday afternoon, which will be shown during tonight’s live show.
