Anger Management Scores ‘Winning’ Deal

Anger ManagementSo, it’s official:  Charlie Sheen has done it again, earning television gold with a 90 episode order for his new show Anger Management. As previously reported, the Anger Management contract stated that FX would guarantee this whopping order if the show met a certain ratings threshold. Apparently, FX liked the numbers they saw because season two and beyond of Anger Management are officially on.

The show certainly lent itself to a second season, setting up at the end of the first for a whole new dynamic that included Charlie’s real life father, Martin Sheen, coming in as a series regular and Charlie’s new roomie.

The network had all but declared that Anger Management would be sticking around for some time, but until the official announcement came yesterday, no one could be certain, that is except, perhaps, Charlie. Not one to lack confidence, Charlie had mentioned that he couldn’t wait to get the phone call with the good news and now his wait is over.  Now all he has to do is tape 90 episodes and wait for the syndication deals to roll in.

So, seriously…I want to stop saying it, but he doesn’t make it easy…looks like good ole Charlie is ‘winning’ again.

Season 2 of Anger Management is set to start production at the end of September and will air when the show returns in January on FX.
