I know some people are unsure about Billy Crystal hosting the 2012 Oscars.  Even I can admit that he's not appearing in movies like he once was and some people wonder about the relevance of him hosting.  Well, last year they got two extremely timely hosts and they bombed, so I think it might be better to put our faith in someone who's been a good host and knows how to work the crowd.

AMPAS is starting the promotional machine on the 2012 Oscars and the newest release is a pretty amusing trailer, produced with Will Ferrell's Funny or Die website.

The set-up is simple: Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel (hey, they're relevant!) are ordered by William Fichtner to track down a mysterious man who's disappeared.  Next, Vinnie Jones tell them they can find this mysterious phantom man out in Mongolia.  But when they arrive, a heavily disguised Robin Williams warns them that they not even find the man they're seeking.  Naturally, he's wrong.  Because they do.  And Billy Crystal answers the call of host once again.
