Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominations Announced

screen actors guild award nominationsAward season is upon us and to follow on from last week’s Writer’s Guild Award nominations the Screen Actors Guild Awards have just announced who is up for the acting categories.

There are some surprise entries and omissions, and not so shocking ones (sigh Community). The biggest surprise snub is Homeland which has not received any nominations. Winners from last year such as The Good Wife’s Julianna Margulies and Boardwalk Empire’s Steve Buscemi have made the list; will they be victorious again?

    No Justified nominations. Justified is basically best crime drama on TV right now. Seeing crime procedurals have been running in place for the last decade. With exception of other currents like South Land and The Closer. No other series is showing crime drama genre as complex or moving it forward.
