Basketball Wives Season 4 Sneak Peek: Meanwhile, Everybody Else was Gettin' It...
For a show as intrinsically cray cray as Basketball Wives is, the sneak peek for tonight's episode is almost conservative.
So much is made of the yelling and the bottle throwing that you can forget that these amorphous battlebots are, in fact, human beings, too. There's nothing truly scandalous going on here, as Royce talks with her new boo about their future and Tami continues the painful conversation with her mother that ended the previous episode. Of course, what episode of Basketball Wives is complete without a little gossip and y'all know that word of the bloodbath that was Kenya's video screening had to get around.
Tami and Shaunie, again, don't seem to feel any sympathy about how that went down, instead confused as to why Kenya didn't act a fool right back at everybody. Because when you pile on somebody, the obvious course of behavior is to blame them for not fighting back. That's a totally healthy response.
The major conflict in the episode, though, is merely hinted at in the sneak peek. Once everybody (and I do mean everybody) goes to the race track, Evelyn and her little flunkie assistant decide to show out for one reason or another. Cue the screaming, the finger waving, and the insults at Jen, culminating in a slap and Evelyn climbing on top of a table to take a leap at her. As per usual in the typical Evelyn-wilds-out tantrum, there's ample security and 10000 people in the room; if Evelyn knows people will be there to hold her back, she's all of a sudden queen bee superhero.
But her punk moves can't fool me. No, ma'am.
Basketball Wives airs tonight at 8:00 on VH1. If you missed my thoughts on last week's episode, which included a whole lot of Kenya bashing, you can check them out here before tonight's episode.
