Basketball Wives Sneak Peek: Tami, Do Not Hit This Girl

Basketball WivesWell, we’ve made it to Tahiti, you guys.

But before it can be all crystal blue waters and white beaches, the Basketball Wives have some business to take care of. Namely, anger management appointments and family problems that have popped up all season, most recently punctuating last week’s episode with Royce breaking down over her father’s scrutiny. Do the wives make any progress tonight?

By the looks of the sneak peek, the first eight minutes of the episode, yes and no. Tami may be heading back to anger management, but her issues with Kesha are far from buried, as there’s another major showdown once the ladies make it to Tahiti. You have to give Tami credit for keeping with the therapy and acknowledging that she can get a little cray-cray, but it’s one thing to be aware of it and another to actively try and prevent it from happening. Did you notice that she doesn’t think she’s a bully? Hmm.

Royce, meanwhile, is dealing with the fallout from the fight with her father, culminating in a truly awkward lunch. Even though I agree with her father in general, that Royce may be rushing into something, I have to say, his way of talking to Royce isn’t cute. He may be frustrated with her, but if you come down that hard on somebody, they’re not going to listen to anything you have to say. Perhaps if he wants Royce to pay attention, he could alter the way he speaks to her and present his opinion more calmly and rationally.

Basketball Wives airs tonight at 8:00 on VH1. If you missed my review of last week’s episode, which included Royce’s breakdown over her father’s scrutiny, you can check it out here.

Would you watch the proposed Basketball Wives movie? Do you think Tami is doing well in going to anger management? Is Royce naive to stay in her current relationship?
