There is a feud brewing between future reality TV star Nadya "Octomom" Suleman, and Kate "Belly Button In the Wrong Place" Gosselin. Despite the fact that we covered Jon & Kate Plus 8 - when it suited us - I really don't care about either one of these people. Let's be honest, even if you are watching/interested in these people's lives for the human elements, it is the freak show that first attracted you. Can't we, as a society, just discourage this sort of whack-o-ness by not giving it the commodity of our attention? Yahoo has been running these items on $40.00 an hour jobs, etc., imagine if they took the example of Octomom and Kate and turned it into career guidance? Earn $75,000 for a days work simply by abusing fertility drugs, free plastic surgery included.
Well, Kate - whose own behavior has been becoming increasingly boorish - recently took to the airwaves, on Dr. Phil none-the-less, to voice her concern for Nadya. Now, let's just back up for a sec. Before we go into what she said, and how octomom responded, let's look at this situation in the most rational way: who cares. Kate Gosselin is f'd up with a capital f. After destroying her body to deliver her second litter, she ravaged it again by getting some hack plastic surgeon to give her a tummy tuck, resulting in a woefully out of place belly button. Her belly button isn't the only thing that is aberrant, though, look at her attitude. Well known for belittling her henpecked hubby, Jon, Kate has the nerve to play victim when he begins to stray in the wake of her constant nagging and questionable alone time with her bodyguard.
Nadya hasn't had time, yet, to do the complete Kate routine of getting herself surgically re-hottie-ized, but she has definitely chortled at her critics enough to bring the saying "dost protest too much" back into style. Her plan, before closing her big reality show contract, was to live off "student loans and stuff." A viable plan, except for the fact that eventually the student loans will live off you, then what? Of course, can there be any doubt that what is transpiring now - reality show gig and all - was her plan all along? Join the freak show? It's true. God, save the children.
Now, if you care - Kate's tirade and Octomom's responses can be found here. Basically, Kate talks about how Octo doesn't seem prepared for the years ahead, claims it takes like 50 people a week to care for her children, and generally kisses Phil's butt. Nadya, on the other hand, aptly puts forth Kate's omnispresence on the tabloid racks of the world. Now, the biggest take away from this clash is this: both are definite victims of plastic-surgery-gone-wrong. Kate should definitely demand that her lower-rib-cage button be moved back to where it belongs, but keep your eyes on Octomom's excessively over-worked mouth. It seems that it only opens in the middle, making her look a little reminscent of Heath Ledger's Joker. Ghastly.
