Beyond Wrong

This has officially reached the well beyond wrong point.  Jon & Kate Plus 8 has raised the issue of child exploitation, and is about to raise it a little further.  It's not bad enough that the fame corrupted prima-donnas wound up kvetching themselves into divorce court, now Jon - arguably the more self-centered and morally ambiguous of the two - is designing a kids clothing line, with his mistress, and expects his children to model the clothes. This is all according to People Magazine.

"Just weeks after splitting from his wife of 10 years, Jon Gosselin is back in the spotlight with a new career and a new girlfriend. Gosselin, 32, turned up in St. Tropez hand-in-hand with Hailey Glassman, the daughter of the plastic surgeon who performed Kate’s tummy tuck in 2006. The lovebirds spent the weekend along the French Riviera so Gosselin could finalize a deal to design his own line of children’s clothing with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier. Glassman will also have a hand in creating the kid-friendly fashions. “She’ll have a lot of input with Christian,” Gosselin told PEOPLE of Hailey’s involvement. “And I will, too.” And don’t forget the plus eight — Gosselin tells PEOPLE that his eight kids, who spent the weekend with Kate at the family’s Pennsylvania home, will model his designs in ads for the line." - Source: People.com

Now let's be honest here, this is all about creating the revenue necessary to support Gosselin's lifestyle at the Trump Towers - far, far away from his children.  The otherwise skill-less Gosselin would be screwed without his meal-ticket of a family, you'd think he would have tried a little harder to keep it together.  It was the superhuman parenting skills that first brought Jon and Kate national attention anyways, now they both - but mostly Jon - seem to be living like they are rock stars.  He's like a male Paris Hilton, without the trust fund.
