Well, that was somewhat exciting...
Tonight's Big Brother live eviction sent one of the Vets packing and crowned a new HOH all within the hour. Besides the outcome of those two events, however, was the new twist of one of the first four evicted House Guests being able to come back into the house if they win a competition with next week's evicted hamster. Hearing that piece of news brought nothing but a huge grin on my face, and added with the results from tonight's HOH competition, I'll stick my mneck out by saying what I said last week again - Big Brother is finally back on track.
Before I get ahead of myself, let's recap the night's events by picking up where Wednesday's episode left off.
After the POV ceremony, Brendon gloated about his "masterful" scheme being brilliant, while the rest of the house wondered why he even did it in the first place. Rachel and Brendon shared another moment filled with sobbing about Brendon's possible eviction, but came to the conclusion that all wasn't lost just yet. Delusional much?
The two then decide to try to round up votes against Jordan by using her previous Big Brother win against her. Meanwhile, Daniele and Kalia know they have 3 out of the 4 votes to keep Jordan in the house, but decide to try to woo Porsche over to their ranks. Rachel found out about this and had a conniption, forcing Brendon and Porsche to tell her to cool it if she wants to last in the game once Brendon leaves. Great advice from some true friends, Rachel. For the love of God, please take it.
The live show quickly went to Julie Chen asking questions to the House Guests, but they were both boring and didn't stir the pot. I'm kind of on the fence about whether or not that was a good thing, but before I could even debate on it we were shown the highly touted Evel Dick interview that was advertised last night.
Evel Dick might have won Big Brother in season 8, but I had to disagree with him on Daniele's gameplay. Sure, she pushed her hand a bit far with Dominic, but seriously, if she didn't do something to secure her role in the game then she would not have made it to the final 9, let alone 8. Evel Dick felt that Daniele was trying to step out of the shadow he casted over her in theit season, but I seriously to this day think that Daniele is only doing things differently. Other than Evel Dick, who thought intimidating people into a slobbering mess by threatening them into a corner was the way to go. I applaud Daniele's game play and hope she sticks to it. Sorry, Evel Dick.
After the interview, the voting began immediately afterwards. After Brendon gave a bawling goodbye speech, he was evicted out of the Big Brother house in a 5-2 vote. Porsche gave the other sympathy vote out of fearing the wrath of Rachel if she didn't. Womp Womp.
After Brendon's exit interview, Julie Chen immediately announced the Returning Player twist to the House Guests and amazingly none of them fazed by the news. Their jaded reactions could have easily been contributed to them being in serious HOH competition mode and might not really hit them until later.
The HOH competition was the usual Big Brother Q&A/elimination style challenge which had the House
Guests competing two at a time and eliminating each other if they failed to answer the question wrong. Rachel eliminated herself by answering a question wrong, which kind of showed that Brendon's exit had already began to take its toll on her. However, Kalia dominated in this game, answering questions correctly before they were even finished, which led her to winning HOH and becoming the first newbie to do so. As much as Kalia worked my nerve at the beginning of the season, I would be lying through my teeth if I said I wasn't cheering for her like an idiot when she won. The Newbies are finally in charge and it's time to do damage control in the Big Brother house.
With all that said, Kalia's HOH could be all for naught if the person evicted this week comes right back into the Big Brother house Thursday. This is why I'm praying that either Keith, Dominic, or Cassi make their way, but it all depends on who America votes to compete for the chance back in. I'm also double praying that Brendon doesn't make it back in, because the guy will be unstoppable and will make life a living hell for all those who voted against him. Plus, there would be more sobbing and slobbering between him and Rachel and I think America has had enough of that for this summer.
So who do you think will be able to come back into the house? Cassi? Dominic? Keith? Brendon? Or whoever Kalia successfully gets evicted next Thursday?
ikr i am so on your side i hope dominic or cassi come back in so dani and beat the vets and show her dad tht she can win and can take control of the house and i really want brendon and rachel out! :P lol
I want to see Rachel go, i have had enough of her Wining and panting when she is not in control. I would like to see dominic or cassi come back. Good game play by Daniele to get one of those duo out.
I also would love to see Racheal go. She is such a BIG BABY. I don't see how anyone can live there with her winning and crying.I would like to see Cassi come back. Daniele you did good.
Rachel and brendan stir the drink. With out them I'm bored and not watching. Love you brendan!
hi i want to see brendan walking through those doors back to big brother house so rachel can sut up and stop crying about hime go home last night
I have been married 38 years and I do know true love when I see it, Rachael might come across inmature and very emotional. Branden has some of the same qualities that's why I know theirs is a true love. Branden and Rachael do love each other and deserve to be happy. I for one want them to win.
I want Rachael to go home. All she does is cry and complain when she doesn't get her way. The game would be alot more interesting without her. Plus ontop of that, she is the biggest backstabber. I've seen all the big brother seasons and besides evil Dick being the biggest backstabber, Rachael definately takes second. I think she needs to go home and Brenden needs to go back to school and get his P.H.D and learn that he's better off without Rachael.
