Tonight's Big Brother was brought to you by Morton's Salt, because the house produced a decent amount of it to fill a silo.
Last night's episode had me wanting to throw the towel in, but not because of Jeff's back step on his and Daniele's deal, which he ignored by putting her on the block in place of Porsche. The event that had me up in arms was something that occurred behind the scenes in production that strangely no one has brought up. Tonight's Live Double Eviction episode made up for that debacle, but I still haven't forgotten about the little birds in production whispering words of "encouragement" in the ears of select House Guests. Moving on...
So instead of giving you a blow-by-blow play of the events from tonight (if you missed it, watch the show later. It's that good), I'm just going to recap the events that happened after the Veto Ceremony and then fly by the night's events.
First, Julie Chen welcomed us by relaying the events that took place most of this week. Daniele was of course pissed about Jeff's double-cross move and knew that she would have to fight her ass off to stay in the house. The chips started to fall in her place after a chance conversation with Shelly, which was about everyone basically being dumb to think that Jeff and Jordan would take one of them to the final two, because why would they want to do that? Shelly, finally realizing that she has to play for herself and not Jeff and Jordan, jumped to the challenge of getting Daniele the votes to stay. She tried Adam, who was a lost cause and still thinking he knows everything cause he's a Big Brother fan, but not grasping the fact that he will not hold his own against both Jeff and Jordan in the final three.
Shelly then mentioned to Rachel how Jeff had thrown the Veto competition that sealed Brendon going home and Princess Red did not like this at all. Finding Daniele, Rachel asked her nemesis if what Shelly said was true, which Daniele confirmed. Rachel pondered voting for Daniele to stay, but that didn't happen as we saw. This leads me to the nugget Julie dropped, but we didn't have the time to see: the blow up between Jeff and Shelly.
It's apparent that Jeff found out about Shelly's double-cross and probably went and scolded her something fierce, shaking salt all over the place in the process. But that probably wasn't anything compared to what happened during the live show.
Now onto the night's events:
- The House Guests are told that this was a double eviction. The only baffling thing out of that announcement was how no one was really surprised by the announcement. Hmm... (My) Salty Levels? Livid.
- Daniele and Rachel gave their last plea speeches, but Daniele, knowing she was going home, vented her frustrations from the entire summer. She signed her speech with a shot at the House Guests doing nothing all summer except help Jeff and Jordan cash a check. Ouch! Daniele then gracefully left the house to 3-2 vote, with Shelly and Porsche being the only two voting to keep Daniele in the house. Big Brother house Salty Levels? Critical.
- The HOH competition went down next and it was a Before or After quiz, which required the House Guests to recollect whether a House Guest said something before or after a big event. The competition didn't last long and came down to Kalia and Jordan. By chance, Kalia took the win and became HOH. Uh Oh! Big Brother house Salty Levels (Namely Jeff, Jordan, and Rachel)? Massive.
- Immediately, Kalia nominated Jeff and Rachel for eviction and then the group went into a quick Veto
competition involving finding three items within a poll of balls. Porsche(!) won. Salty Levels? Critical.
- During the POV Ceremony, Jeff and Rachel made their pleas for redemption, but Porsche decided to keep the nominations the same. Wow! Salty Levels? Nuclear.
- The House Guests vote and there ends up being a tie. Jordan and Adam vote to keep Jeff, while Shelly and Porsche vote to keep Rachel. Kalia gave the tie breaking vote and nominated Jeff! Salty Levels? Explosive.
Whew!
Rachel and Jordan were crying their eyes out while Adam quickly started making deals with the rest of the Newbies. Two Vets down in one night?! Who would have thought the Newbies would grow a backbone and start kicking ass?!?!?
So Jeff got served a heavy dose of karma and if you ask me it was justified. Why? Because he tried to use being fair and playing with emotions as his excuses. "I had to stand up while no one else would and do something!" Really, Jeff?! Did you forget the stronghold you guys had on the house during the beginning of the season? What was that? A test run? Dude, please. In the end, Jeff finally got what he wanted. Daniele left the house on his own accord, he got his revenge on Kalia, Porsche started to play the game for once, and in all that planning, Jeff still got the boot. Be careful what you wish for, Big Jeff! You will learn next time to not play the Big Brother game with feelings.
As for Shelly doing an about-face so soon, can you really blame the woman for using common sense? I know I've had my share of Shelly bashing, but my primary reasoning behind my rants was Shelly being a placeholder/fetch dog for Jeff and Jordan. Sure, Jordan was (and still is) the better of that duo, but still Shelly had to put Shelly first for once or the sacrificing her business and family would have been for naught. So yeah, I'm Team Shelly now. Sue me.
The next few weeks of Big Brother ought to be interesting given that two huge players have been knocked out the game. Will the Newbies still dominate and take the Vets down to one? Or will Rachel and Jordan perform a Hail Mary and bounce back from the brink of destruction?
Oh, yes. There will be more salt, people... With a side dash of karma.
hi everyone ,my best friend ,she just has announced her wedding with a mil lionaire young man !she met him via — Afflu~ent Single. c~om – .it is the first and best club for weal ~~~thy people and their admirers to chat online…best place to find local ri ch women and men ,you don’t have to be ri ch there ,but you can meet one there ,maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends !
good luck!–
It was Danielle who broke the stronghold and created chaos. Had they done like Dick had said get rid of the newbies one by one but oh no not Danielle. She had to start that flirting with a guy again and ruin the game. I see it as Dani being a traitor to BB that she did not support fellow houseguest or previous houseguest.
Porsche will probably win. She flies under the radar. Shelley is too dirty of a player. I like a good game player but I dont' like a dirty game player. She fits in the category of
the hated player who lied so much that made it to the end with Jordan.
It just cracks me up when people use the "stronghold" to bash the veterans….the numbers were 8 NEWBIES to 6 Veterans. Danielle didn't do diddly for four or five weeks because Evel Dick gave her the ultimate floating power – ditto Porche.
The show has now reached rock bottom. Shelly shouldn't have her child watching her or she will grow up to be twisted.
Jeff's rants were because there were a bunch of floaters (i.e. ALL OF THE NEWBIES) who were going to win because they let all of the veterans do the dirty work. It's not because of good game play – it's because NONE of them COULD compete until Brendon, Jeff and Danielle got booted. Kalia was the only person who legitimately won a contest prior to that! Wow.(well maybe porche ONE time)
I'd even rather let Danielle have the money than ANY of these other newbies (or Adam who actually watched the show and didn't use it to buy boobs or be on tv)….
If Shelly thinks that America loves her or she will win anytning – she is sadly mistaken.
Okay, that "8 NEWBIES to 6 VETERANS" rant you got there does not hold water given that 4 of the Newbies defected over onto the Veterans side, putting the house 10 to 4. That, my friend, is a stronghold. And the term "floater" is so lame given that when you do play the game, you get either reprimanded or evicted for actually doing something in the house that would further you in the game. If we have to use "floater" then Adam and Shelly would be the ultimate ones who've done it. Neither has won a competition and they have until now given their votes to the Vets in exchange for safety in the house.
Bottom line, people, this game just had a major upset and you have to give credit where credit is due. Each person in the house is there to play their own game now, not The Vets game. Key word here is that it is just a GAME!!! and it's evict of be evicted at this point, not help someone else win the game while you sit and look stupid in front of not only the American public, but your family as well.
Shelly won't last long she can't win a comp. so she will always be at the mercy of others. she makes me laugh when in the beginning she cried about lying to others how it was setting a bad example for her kid when she gets out im betting it will be without any winnings and with no job.Im hoping Jordan and Rachel get their act together.
Shelly is a liar and backstabber. She has shown her daughter the sorry kind of a woman that she is. She got caught and attacked and freaked out on others because of HER behavior. She is a child…a little unstable. If you are too ignorant to have enough commen sense to see that then you must be a loser just like her. There is no team Shelly. She lost the game as soon as she started acting liking an idiot. No one will vote to give her a half million.
Shelly is getting screwed by the pandoras box. the vets have completely had a stranglehold on the house and production is taking ouot all the stops to get the remainder of them to the end. Go Newbies (except Adam)
