Looks like Big Brother has to follow its own motto of "Expect the Unexpected" after a major development/game changer landed on its doorstep yesterday evening.
Seems like Dick "Evel Dick" Donato has exited the Big Brother house for reasons currently unknown, besides it being a "personal matter." His daughter, and Dynamic Duo partner, Daniele Donato is still in the game and was unaware that Dick exited the house. The reasons behind his exit will be explained during the Wednesday, July 13th episode, but I'm sure some BB blog will have the story behind Evel Dick's departure way before then.
The news of Dick's early exit isn't too shocking given that not long after the HOH competition he disappeared for about six hours according to Zap2It's Andrea Reiher and left through the Diary Room, never to return.
While all of the houseguests (and BB fans) were speculating on whether this was a ploy on Evel Dick's part, there are other questions his early departure brings up.
1) How will this affect nominations? I already know who is nominated, but don't want to spoil anyone here on that noise. However, there fact that they are still going ahead with an eviction makes you wonder about how that will impact the Golden Key rule and the inevitable Double Eviction that might come up later in the game.
2) Will the Big Brother producers bring in another player to pair up with Daniele? While most people are saying 'no' to this, I can't help but think that anything is possible at this point. Daniele was co-hosting a BB related show called Rumor Control with BB12's Ragan up until it was time for her to go into sequester. So who knows what the Big Brother producers might have up their sleeve.With that said, though, I know some information (and you all might already know as well) why Daniele might be playing the game solo for a while.
3) Will Dick reenter the game if the emergency is take care of or will Daniele leave if the emergency is a serious deal? This one is a doozy since we don't know exactly what the "personal matter" entails, but if it's something familial then it would seem 'odd' for Daniele to still play the game. Unless their family is seriously going through a civil war of sorts...
4) Will Dick's early departure affect the 4th Twist that is to be revealed Sunday? I don't know about this, but it wouldn't surprise me if it will affect the twist/game somewhat.

I'm clueless. I'm fuzzy on the whole Golden Key thing. I guess I'll just have to keep watching to see if I get a clue.

I think Dick left so he'd guarantee Danielle an exemption for the first four weeks. If they truly aren't speaking after three years, maybe this was his way to pay her back to extend her time in the house by putting a mark on his back instead thus she gets the sympathy. I think she has a grreat chance to win as she did in Season 8.

He was coming down off drugs for sure! He looks so strung out now. I bet he realized he couldn't handle all summer without his crackpipe!

Crack pipe, definitely, I think he was on something before entering the house … you can tell he was high on something and his daughter was almost sayin' he blew all the money on drugs, the way she was talkin' about it, you know he was wastin' it and she wasn't pleased about it … that's my theory. Good thing if he gets into rehab.
You know what they say, those who do, know. Ain't that right, Promise? And the rest of ya, it's waiting for ya, right next to Matt's dead loved ones. My Point? Quit blowing B.S. because you know what happened and it don't matter. Evil D. was the one to watch on the show this season and with him gone, BB just screwed up and left us with a boring season.
And people, did ya watch the September 11th season??? BB held off on telling them for a while and then finally did. Why did they wait so long then and yet, tell him asap now????
