Tonight, Big Brother gave us the first eviction of the summer, a new HOH, and a special message from Evel Dick himself.
After the POV meeting, strategies were discussed after Porsche and Keith's fates were pretty much sealed. Porsche explained to Keith, who tried to come to her with a "truce," that she pretty much was not trying to hear the B.S. and is ready for whatever he's trying to throw her way behind her back. Lawon, Dominic, and Cassi try like hell to keep Keith in the house, despite the guy pretty much screwing up his game play as well as theirs. Meanwhile, the Vets discussed getting one of the Newbies to switch over to their ranks to really solidify their numbers lock on the game.
To do this, the Vets try to knock down the wall they pretty much built between them and the Newbies to help with their social game. However, Brendon had a hissy fit over Rachel calling him by his pet name and the two love birds had an argument about Rachel humiliating Brendon by emasculation. As if that ship haven't already sailed into the sunset never to return...
Back to gameplay, The Vets tried to lure Adam to their alliance by having the seemingly gullible BB fan name their alliance. Thankfully, he didn't choose one at the time and hopefully won't be able to for the remainder of the game. Cassi worked her fellow Newbies into voting to keep Keith instead of Porsche, who has clearly shown who she has chosen to side with. Shelly mentions taking care of herself first in her Diary Room interview and will play both sides if she must.
Julie Chen returns to our screens and replays the Have/Have Nots competition to show just how sexual it got. But before that, we got the message from Evel Dick, which basically told them he was okay without telling them what happened. During Dick's message, Daniele visibly rolled her eyes and looked seriously annoyed by the clip. Julie Chen caught this and pounced on it immediately after the message was over, asking Daniele how she was doing. After Daniele gave a somewhat complicated answer, Chenbot asked "No 'I Love You?'" and Daniele clearly was thrown by the comment to the point that she had to explain herself during her live vote.
Speaking of votes, the House Guests voted this way: Cassi, Dominic, Lawon, and Adam voted to keep Keith, while Jeff, Jordan, Brendon, Daniele, Kalia, and Shelly voted to keep Porsche instead. Somewhat shocked, Keith leaves the Big Brother house and Porsche gets the second Golden Key of the summer. What followed was Julie Chen berating Keith for throwing the veto competition and not taking action to save himself, plus the most hilarious selection of goodbye messages ever comprised was shown and I wish I had a clip to show, because it pretty much echoed the fans sentiment concerning good ole boy Keith. It's a shame that he's gone, because he would've brought damn good drama to the game, but maybe Keith was a little too much to handle on a 24/7 basis for the House Guests. Oh well. Keith will most definitely be one of the most memorable first evictees of Big Brother history.
The HOH competition was set up like a putt-putt game where the House Guests had to knock their ball to the number one slot at the end of the stretch. Dominic gained an early lead, which Kalia during her chance at the game, but it took Jordan to come in and get the closest slot of three to seal her fate as the new HOH of the summer, which will make it her first time to win HOH in the Big Brother game.
The power is still in The Vets hands, which makes this blogger a little sick to his stomach. What did you guys think of tonight's eviction and HOH competition?
