Dying for more Boardwalk Empire? The HBO crime series wrapped up its first season in December, but has been fresh in everyone's minds since then. The show's garnering significant amounts of Emmy buzz, and some even think it could topple reigning champ Mad Men. In any case, millions were captivated by the exploits of Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi), Margaret Schroeder (Kelly Macdonald), and Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) -- and they can't wait to be captivated again.

HBO has released a promo for the show's second season, which should begin this fall. Slickly edited, the trailer features a hint of what is coming up in the new season of Boardwalk Empire. Not only will it feature Klansmen with gatlin guns, but there's still plenty of intrigue happening in the trailer. Nucky Thompson threatens to ruin his competitors, but the stakes seem much more pitted against him, with the trailer's editing job indicating that there's more than one person gunning for the corrupt politician.

It looks scary, it looks intense, but most of all, it looks like a whole lotta fun. Boardwalk Empire will return to HBO in the fall for its sophomore season. Check out the trailer below.
