Fox Orders Nine More Episodes of Bob’s Burgers

Fox has announced that Bob’s Burgers has been given an additional nine episodes to make burger puns and showcase the growth of the one and only Tina Belcher. The show, wihch debuted last January, was picked up for 13 episodes in April, thus giving season two a full 22 episode order.

Bob’s Burgers tells the story of the Belcher familty: patriarch Bob (H. Jon Benjamin), adventurous mom Linda (John Roberts), awkward pre-pubsecent Tina (Dan Mintz), only son Gene (Eugene Mirman), and offbeat Louise (Kristen Schaal), who all help run a struggling burger restaurant. Bob has to deal with a rival in Jimmy Pesto and a villainous landlord in Mr. Fischoeder, all the while trying to get publicity for his restaurant and keep his sanity in the process.

Currently without a concrete start date, Bob’s Burgers will return early 2012.
