Sometimes, when I'm watching Bones, I am kind of surprised to be reminded how out of touch Brennan can be, even after all these years. This week's case dealt with the murder of a toy company executive.  Morgan Fairchild made a guest appearance as the toy company CEO.

The victim was found with a doll (Prince Charmington) on her.  The discovery of the toy led to the Jefferson staff rather shocked that Brennan didn't have the doll that every girl had when they were young.  But Brennan admitted that she spent most of her childhood learning and doing experiments, not playing.  Angela tried to explain how important playing would be to her future child and Brennan gave it a go.  She may have been awkward at it, but she later understood the importance.

Sweets went through his certification to get a permit to carry a gun, which Booth objected to but Daisy supported.  While Sweets got slightly injured during the test, Booth ended up approving him for the permit.

Unfortunately, Bones is on hiatus next week, but a new episode will air on December 1.  The episode, titled "The Male in the Mail", features the return of Booth's grandfather.  In addition, Tina Majorino returns as Special Agent Genny Shaw and Ben Savage will also be making a guest appearance.

The December 1 Bones centers around remains that are found in the mailing boxes at a "dead letter" office.  The Jeffersonian pieces the remains back together and discovers that the victim is the employee of a local Ship 'n' Print store.  The employees of the store recently won the lottery and split the big prize.  The team learns that two married employees and the victim were involved in a love triangle.  The husband is played by Ben Savage and the motive points to him as the murderer, but did he really do it? Booth's grandfather also returns to deliver some unexpected news.
