Bones Preview: Pelant Returns, But Can Booth and Brennan Catch Him This Time?

BonesBooth and Brennan went undercover in a competitive ballroom competition in the winter premiere of Bones and while Brennan proved that she wasn’t good at everything, the two of them did manage to solve the case and have a lovely (if slightly cheesy) waltz at the end.  In the second hour of the two-hour premiere, Booth and the Jeffersonian staff investigated the death of an archaeologist/writer who made an important find regarding a caveman family.  While Brennan and Clark spent most of the episode fighting over who should publish an article about the bones found by the archaeologist (and later discovered during the course of the investigation), Brennan eventually realized that her hyper-competitive ways needed to be toned down.

Pelant returns in next week’s all new episode and immediately targets Angela and Hodgins.  The couple wakes up to discover a corpse hanging from the canopy of their bed and evidence that Pelant was near their son’s crib.  They’re convinced that he’s back to take revenge against Hodgins.  Hodgins is prepared to do whatever it takes to protect his family, but Booth doesn’t want him to run the risk of ruining the case against Pelant.  But while the Jeffersonian team is discovering more about the corpse, Angela and Hodgins have their own side investigation going on.  This looks like one hell of a stressful episode.
