This week's episode of Bones sure was an emotional one, wasn't it?  Booth's grandfather returned to deliver some news: his father had passed away.  Booth brushed off the whole incident, as well as Brennan's concern.  After all, Booth Senior had been a terrible, alcoholic father.  He continued to insist to his grandfather that he was unaffected by the death, but grandpa reminded Booth that Booth may not be mourning his father, but he had lost his son.  Later, Brennan was able to remind Booth that he did have some good times with his father, which prompted Booth to open up a box his father left him, filled with happy memorabilia from his childhood.

This must be the season for father figures, because Angela's father returns to town in the December 8 episode of Bones.  The episode, titled "The Twist in the Twister", has the team investigating the remains of a "storm chaser".  Originally they suspect that he died while following a tornado, but video footage later reveals that he may have been murdered.

As Brennan's pregnancy continues, Booth finds himself growing even more protective of her, both at home and at work.  Angela and Hodgins suffer from sleep-deprivation with their infant son.  When Angela's father, Billy F. Gibbons, comes into town, they agree to let him babysit little Michael so they can get some rest.  Joel David Moore will also be returning as squintern Colin Fisher.
