Breaking Bad Spoilers - Character Descriptions Reveal Rough Outline of Season 5

Breaking Bad returns in a few weeks and the anticipation is killing me. Every season has seen Walter White (Bryan Cranston) reaching new heights within the meth trade, from cooking in a gutted barely running RV to manning the industrial lab of Gus Fring. With Fring eliminated, and the cartel gutted, it would seem that the time has come for Walter to fully embody his alter-ego Heisenberg. But to what end? What began as an unpleasant means to an end, a desperation move designed to provide for his family after a terminal cancer diagnosis, has rapidly transformed Walter from a skittish and humble Chemistry teacher, father, and husband, into a ruthless career criminal whose intelligence makes him far more dangerous than your average hood.

Breaking Bad's genius lay in the carefully constructed journey down that rabbit hole. They have taken their time with it, and the result has been a narrative so detailed and realistic that can be quite chilling at times, particularly when it forces one of Walter's moral dilemmas in your head and asks "what would you do?". The answer is not always as clear as we'd like when we are weighing 'real life' good and bad.

So where could Breaking Bad be taking us in Season 5? The answer could be hidden in this list of character descriptions released by AMC. The document gives context for each returning character, and some of the facts are at times quite revealing. Be warned: spoilers lay ahead.

Will Walt rise to the top of the underworld? Or will Walt's past finally catch up to him?
