Which brings me to Laura, Kimsha, and Jackie. Anybody who follows my Basketball Wives writing (and thank you if you do) knows that I love me some Tami Roman. Though she has moments of being very extra, she makes up for it with how funny she can be and with how loyal of a friend she is. None of these ladies are Tami Roman, y'all, and that's a little disappointing. Maybe once we get deeper into the show, these three can become more humanized, but at the moment, they seem to be trying a little too hard. Jackie's all over the place (the breakdown, the screaming at Tanya) and perhaps a little bit of her crazy comes from her situation with her mom, but the whole wedding-a-year thing makes me think that she's insecure as hell and uses this bravado as something to mask it. Kimsha has zero tact with how she talks to people (and not even in a funny way) and Laura's whole "be ghetto" thing with Tanya was strange and almost insulting to watch unfold. (The fact that a woman who had a baby Also, I have no idea why these three were so aghast that people may be different from them and that it must be because they think they're better than the group. I thought the purpose of this show was for people to see that basketball wives come in all shapes, sizes, and attitudes, so this whole "we just met and if you aren't with us, you're against us" attitude makes zero sense to me and makes me think that they're putting on for the cameras.
Overall, the cast of Basketball Wives: LA has just what it takes to make for dramatic reality TV. You have a group of women who've seen the original Basketball Wives grow season after season thanks to some explosive fights and intriguing interpersonal dynamics, so you best believe that they'll be trying to top Tami Roman and company this season. I don't know how invested I am just yet, as the whole hour was one big hypocritical headache, but hey, first impressions aren't always accurate.

I agree with that, I believe that they're all thristy for fame and trying to create a name for themselves and if you have to go to this extreme acting like a high schooler it's very sad. Jakie seems to want to much attention or she seems as if she needs reassurance of every thought she has, every move she make, and every project she's involved in and she is so full of drama. I was praying this show would be different from that other Basketball Ex-wives and girlfriend of has-been Ball players. I was left hoping in vain because it was more of the same gutter trash! Is it too much to ask for positive things real Basketball wives and girlfriend are doing to make the world a better place? One would think they would want to give the image of doing great things for this world to be a better place with all the money and blessings they have gotten for free from their men. Instead it was more of the same old ghetto smack down, name calling and being a general disgrace to themselves, their husbands and all women in general.
I was done with it after one girl called the other one a rat for no other reason than she was using her middle name Malaysia instead of Keysha. It escalated into a physical brawl that made me sick to the stomach! When will the public say enough of these lame reality shows?

Just want to say, you absolutely made the correct decisions in dealing with the cast members. How do you know? Their response “I’m through with this one.” What can one possibly say behind the answers you gave them as to why you did not get involved in such an elementary fight? Also, You stated that you speak with Jackie quite a bit. Since she is in fact in contact with you, my belief is that it is a tactic to discover your next move(s). You should keep your distance from her. I think she feels that you are a threat to her. She is envious of you because of your intellectual ways and values. Jackie said she can also be intellectual, but has not proven it. Talk is cheap! Especially, in front of a camera. The way in which you carry yourself made her forget that she married her present husband 16 times. She was too insecure and did not know how to approach you. You are a beautiful African American women and I am hoping that you return back to the show to teach these Basketball Thugs, (I mean Wives) how to act, live and perhaps love each other as human beings. First impressions are the lasting impression and these so called women are who they are. Please help and teach them. It was all over the place. Rushed and seemed like cut and paste LOL. I will still watch and see how it plays out. I think no one is really keeping it real at this point but its all new so I will give it more time to play out. It's entertaining and Gloria ass is getting on my nerves so far. I watched the second episode last night and in a word this show is IRREVELANT! Totally irrevelant, to anything any rational human being of even average intelligence would watch. Bravo is insulting the African American community! There is not one of these ladies (I use this term loosely), who has anything worthwile to contribute. They start off fighting in the first show and spend the entire second show attempting to rationalize this childlike behavior. I feel that Imani is extra. These ladies are hypocrites for calling out Draya when Laura slept with Shaq while he was married. Laura is also out and about after just having a baby 3 weeks ago. Why? This show I hope is not sending a message to young women that you should shack up with some baller for 5+ years, have children by him, and acted surprised that he dumped you. As the old folks use to say, why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free. The only women on this show that is truly legit is Malaysia. Why Draya is wasting her time with these women with the exception of Malaysia who is trying to be a real friend to her is beyond me.
