NTSF:SD:SUV:: Renewed for Season 2 by Adult Swim

Adult Swim has renewed NTSF:SD:SUV::, their quarter-hour procedural parody that debuted earlier this summer, for a second season of 12 episodes. The show will be airing its first season finale tonight at 12:15am, following a replay of a Childrens Hospital episode from this past season.

Starring Paul Scheer (The League), NTSF follows the National Terrorism Strike Force, a San Diego-based police unit that has been faced with dolphin terrorists, toxic energy drinks, and 1940s Japanese submarines, among other threats to national security. The show also features June Diane Raphael (Year One), Brandon Johnson (Get Him to the Greek), Rebecca Romijn (Ugly Betty), Martin Starr (Party Down), and Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager).

On tonight's episode, the NTSF has to stop terrorists planning to bomb a local parade, while Alphonse is trying to find a gift for Trent's kids.

What have you thought of NTSF thus far? What do you hope to see from the show in its next season? What's been your favorite episode of the show's first season? (My choice: the one with the alterna-San Diego and the two Trents.)
