The VH1 Blog is reporting that Royce Reed, cast member of Basketball Wives: The Secret Circle, has decided not to return to the hit reality series for season 4. There had been speculation as to whether the former NBA dancer would sign on for another season, considering her limited screen time in season 3 and the fact that she's only on good terms with Tami; Royce cites "artistic differences" as the reason for her departure.. Meeka Claxton joined the show last season, but executive producer Shaunie O'Neal has made mention several times that she wouldn't be returning, due to a pending lawsuit against another cast member.
I have to say, if Royce is out, I might be, too. Royce is the only member of the cast that stands up to Evelyn and Jennifer and she provides a sense of balance to the show. Without her, I fear that it'll become The Evelyn Show, which is something that I'd rather not subject myself to. Suzie's useless, Jennifer's a follower, Evelyn's Evelyn, Shaunie's invisible, and Tami, while I love her, has seemingly fallen in with the "evil empire", so there's not a lot of incentive to come back to the show. Well, at least for me. It makes sense that Royce wouldn't come back, considering people don't seem to want to film with her and the show's intentions of focusing less on the fighting, but still, I hope she reconsiders.
What do you think about the possibility of Royce not coming back to the show? Would you still watch if Basketball Wives only had Evelyn, Suzie, Jennifer, Tami, and Shaunie? If Royce is indeed leaving, what other basketball wife would you like to see join?

i think it's best Royce doesn't return to the show, she not unlike Draya in LA has had to explain herself for being herself. No one ever asked Evelyn to explain sleeping with Ocho Cinco on the first date for the world to see. No one asked Jennifer to explain herself when her questionable pics showed up in the pubic eye. No one asked Shaunie to explain the demise of her marriage to Shaq. No one asks suszie to explain her useless existence. To be perfectly honest if not for Royce or Tammi, I would have permenately changed the channel on those boring chicks. Evelyn is just a walking megaphone and althoug I'm sure she believes her projection of toughness is genuine, it's more annoying than anything. She makes herself easy to dislike.
The thing is, when you know who you are these women circle you like sharks testing every boundary and exploiting every gesture to prove, of course that someone – ain't "keepin it real". OMG! Please stop! These ladies are grown in age anyway, although slightly more mature by comparison to the LA cast and that's not a compliment; Royce should go and flesh out her career she shouldn't work with jennifer's ex-husband, he's wack.
Royce, Don't stay on this show the ladies aren't receptive to you besides Tammi and Suzie and you know Suzie will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat -can't trust her. So, why stay, to be their punching bag? Seriously though, Tammi should stop drinking beause looking at that show she can't handle her liquor well. She starts hearing things like, Jennifer calling her a bitch!
Royce is the only real Basketball wife character b/c none of them are true wives! She stands her grand and holds her own. The rest are followers or trying too hard to be seen/heard. So, if she leaves, there is no real reason to watch the show. Do what you have to do Royce b/c you will excel regardless.
Team Royce too, please reconsider
