What Not to Wear Renewed for Season 9
Ahead of its season finale tomorrow, What Not to Wear has been renewed by TLC. While it may not have the tabloid-y buzz of other shows on the channel (Sister Wives, Kate Plus 8, 19 Kids and Counting), the makeover show has been a steady performer, even while being moved from its longtime Friday night timeslot.
What Not to Wear features stylists Stacy London and Clinton Kelly breaking down a woman's wardrobe, figuring out the root of their style problems, and subsequently helping them build a brand new wardrobe. This season of the show has seen its fair share of body image issues, writers, and frugal mommies, culminating in post-grad Becca''s makeover tomorrow.
Season 9 will make its premiere this coming August for another 26 episodes, bringing the show to well over 250 makeovers since its 2003 inception. Season 8 premiered in late October, so season 9 will likely be ending sometime during 2012's February sweeps.
I, for one, am very happy that the show is coming back. While I sort of wish they would put the show back on Fridays (or that TLC would rerun the show during the week/put the show online), What Not to Wear has been my Tuesday go-to show and it very rarely fails to deliver the type of feel good energy and uplifting message that you need at the end of the day.
Have you enjoyed this season of the show? Do you hope they change anything in season 9? What was your favorite transformation this season?

Am glad they'll be back for another season. Thought this year was more interesting since Stacy and Clinton seemed to get a lot more into the psychological aspects of why people dress poorly. The show always seems to go by quickly. Ted has been a plus since Nick left and Carmody is probably the most positive person on WNTW. The format works, but it would still be nice to have them do at least one male makeover a season, which they used to do earlier in the series.
I hope TLC gets rid of Kate Gosselin and puts something else worth watching on in place of Kate + 8, no more anything Kate please. I just can not watch that woman-she is a disgrace and I have turned off TLC because of her.
I have been watching What not to Wear since it came on. I started watching this season when it started but then all of a sudden it disappeared and in its place on Tuesday Night TLC has been showing Kate plus 8 and 19 kids and counting I have felt from the beginning that these show where not worth my time and to have them come on in place of What Not to Wear is really annoying. Can you please tell me when the show will be back on the air as I miss watching Stacey and Clinton very much

Excellent show with many reasons to watch ; Stacy and Clinton are talented, funny, interesting and good people. We never tire of them. A feel good show, and do we ever need that! Fashion is fun for us all. Makeovers will always be popular. A perfect show and I hope nothing is changed. TLC keep this and The Duggars forever, we need them during these hard times.
