CalifornicationOn the next episode of Californication, infamous party boy and connoisseur in all things that feel good Hank Moody is now playing drug counselor to Becca. Now that she’s determined to follow in her father’s footsteps, warts and all, she’s been dipping into the darker side of what she thinks it means to live and be a writer through substance abuse. In an attempt to keep her rebellion contained to a promiscuous sex life rather than spiralling into something much more sinister, Hank takes her and Karen to Atticus so that the rocker can instill a little wisdom on the high life.

Only before anything constructive could happen, they run into Marilyn Manson sitting in the living room, anxiously hovering over narcotics that he wants to share with Hank. Becca, of course, is in awe of one of her favorite musicians not only being in front of her but offering to do drugs with her father; if Hank decides to do it, he’ll only reinforce Becca’s idea that doing drugs is a cool, desirable hobby that can get you next to any celebrity anytime. But would he willingly draw her ire by turning down a request from one of her favorite artists? Hank’s trying to get through to her and should he turn Marilyn down, it could lead her to shut down and call him on being a hypocrite.

Elsewhere on Californication, Marcy and Charlie share a heartfelt moment when putting their son to bed. They notice just how happy the little boy is at having both of them around and Charlie thinks that this should be a permanent thing, that he and Marcy should get back together. Marcy, though, doesn’t think that they’re meant to be together and would rather give it another shot with Stu. Will they eventually find their way back to one another?

Californication airs Sunday at 10:30 on Showtime.

Will the trip to see Atticus dissuade Becca from using drugs? Should Charlie and Marcy get back together for the sake of their son? What would Ophelia say about Marcy even entertaining the thought of being with Charlie?
