Californication 6.09 Sneak Peeks: Hank Plays Second Fiddle…to Eddie?

californicationThroughout the run of Californication, Karen has had to deal with Hank’s skirt-chasing ways. Every time the two might have a chance to reconcile and repair their relationship, he seems to fall off the wagon and land on the nearest woman willing to submit to the Moody charm. Any sense of trust that might have developed between them then gets promptly obliterated and they’re left to cobble together the wreckage once again. Granted, it says a lot about their connection that six seasons (and innumerable flings) later, she’s still not closed the door on the possibility of getting back together with Hank, but will he still be into the idea when she turns the tables on him? Can Hank handle Karen getting her rocks off with someone he knows personally?

On the next episode of Californication, Atticus is having a party and all are invited, especially if you’re female and/or have access to the best drugs around. Also making an appearance at the shindig? Eddie Nero, as vulgar (and awesome) as ever. After revealing that he had a fling with Karen’s ex-husband Bates, the actor compliments how well Karen has aged since they last saw one another and escorts her off to places unknown, leaving Hank with his thoughts. Eddie’s celibacy has taken a backseat to his career and he thinks having sex for the first time in a while will help his acting in an upcoming love story, but in choosing Karen, he might have inadvertently hurt her relationship with Hank. Moody’s used to Karen being his moral compass, the one to whom he aspires to be worthy of, and he doesn’t know how to take the idea of her embracing her wild side, even if for one night. If she does end up getting physical with Eddie, how far back will that set the progress she and Hank have made?

Elsewhere on Californication, Atticus attempts to recreate a special rock moment with the help of a fan, while Charlie has another encounter with the Widow.

Californication airs Sundays at 10:30 on Showtime.

How will Hank feel once Karen turns the tables on him? Should Charlie give the idea of a fling with the Widow a chance? Will what happens at the party have a big influence over the rest of the season?
