Californication 6.04 Sneak Peeks: Hank Meets with an Executive

CalifornicationHank Moody has burned many a bridge in his day. The best-selling author makes a point to adhere strictly to his id and indulge in whatever source of pleasure he craves at that very moment; while that's certainly provided him with a lot of wild times and hair-curling stories, it's also caused more than a few people to swear him off for good. If you keep plugging away at that particular brand of debauchery like Moody has, eventually you're going to encounter someone who you've screwed over and coming up on Californication, he'll be doing just that.

On the next episode of Californication, Hank's bridge burning has caught up with him, as he and Charlie have a meeting with Ali Andrews, an entertainment executive he worked with on the adaptation of God Hates Us All. She came on to him while they were collaborating and he rebuffed her advances, only for her to pop back into his life as a studio executive and someone who could play a large role in where his career goes from here on out. Hank has gotten Karen to pardon his indiscretions and welcome him back into the fold for years, but can he manage to make Ali be willing to work with him again and forget about what transpired between them years ago?

Elsewhere on Californication, Karen and Marcy have dinner with Ophelia, Marcy's spiritual guide who doesn't exactly have a kind opinion of the male species. In addition to espousing her views, Ophelia takes the time to confront Karen about her messy love life, spent trying to tame boys rather than living with and loving men. Confirming everything that has been evident for years about her psyche and attitude toward Hank, Karen declares that she likes dealing with boys and that boys are fun.

Meanwhile, there's an incident at Becca's reading that proves how much her father's daughter she truly is.

Californication airs Sunday at 10:30 on Showtime. The show was recently renewed for a seventh season.

How will Hank's meeting with Ali go? Will Karen begin to reconsider the path she's taken? What will Becca do at the reading?
