We are still a little over a week away from a new Castle episode, but to calm down the most anxious fans, ABC has released two sneak peeks for “One Life To Lose”. The episode will have Castle and Beckett investigating a murder on the set of a popular soap opera in New York.
I had a chance to watch a screener and “One Life To Lose” is hilarious from the very first minute until the last scene. Homage to Nathan Fillion’s and Seamus Dever’s early days on One Life to Live and General Hospital, respectively, the episode presents several aspects of soapy goodness, from the outrageously absurd plots to the obsessed fans. It’s just an all around entertaining episode.
Corbin Bernsen ("The Young and the Restless," "Psych"), Rebecca Budig ("All My Children"), Cameron Mathison ("All My Children") and Jane Seymour ("Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman") guest star on this soap opera-themed Castle.
As usual, I can’t give too much away, but I can tell you this much:
- Beckett knows her way around a fandom, even enlightening Castle with a few terms he didn’t know.
- We see a lot more of Martha in this episode.
- Castle does something really sweet for Beckett and she opens up just a little bit more to him.
- Motorcycle Boy is still in the picture and has the worst timing in the world. Seriously.
“One Life To Lose” is scheduled to air on March 21st at 10pm on ABC.
