You know, I am really trying to not be frustrated by this development that was released a few days ago, in which a sexy art insurance investigator would have an instant spark with Castle. Apparently she is going to assist Castle and Beckett in an investigation that involves the theft of a valuable sculpture.
The fandom has been in an uproar ever since that piece of info came out and I honestly don't blame them. The season finale ended with Castle declaring his love for a dying Beckett and now suddenly he's got an instant attraction with another woman? What's up with that, TPTB? Just when it seemed like things were finally on the right track. Seriously?
But then again, we don't know how the Josh situation is going to play out, so maybe Beckett is still being stubborn and hasn't cut him loose by the time The Killing's Kristin Lehman joins them as Martina Kaye, the sexy art insurance investigator. And you know what, maybe this is all for the best. Last season, Castle was the one chasing Beckett like a puppy, doing everything she wanted. Maybe now it's time for Beckett to do some chasing of her own and show Castle she really does care about him.
TV Guide reports that the shippers shouldn't worry so much because apparently Martina Kaye hides a surprising secret from the team. I really hope it's something really bad. What do you think it could be?
Castle returns with its fourth season on September 19th, at 10pm, on ABC.
I'm bettering that martina was once an art thief and possibly stole a painting from Castle or someone very close.
The spoiler freaked me out a bit at first but then I thought to myself, "It's just a spoiler." It is, after all, one small piece of the Castle puzzle & I don't want to jump to conclusions. I for one think that there is a very good reason for the storyline. I think it is an opportunity for Beckett to admit she is jealous like Castle did in "The Dead Pool." I am actually looking forward to it because I am so curious as to how this is all going to play out. But I, and a lot of other shippers, felt a lot better about it yesterday when Terri Miller tweeted this: "Ya know shippers, don't pay too much attention to the spoilers. They are there to poke and prod you. You'll like the episode. It's fun."
I'm thinking the same thing. People were tired of RC doing all the chasing, I guess this is a role reversal, and I'll bet it doesn't involve anything more than serious flirting.
What I do wonder is, with so many conflicts already revealed to us in season 4,is there really room for this too. I hope all the other subplots are carried out to a full conclusion and not left hanging. If so, then AWM & CO, you'll be doing one hell of a job.
