We all know Castle is a show that has an outlandish, bizarre premise at first glance. A writer shadowing a NYPD Detective for research, going to crime scenes and chasing bad guys? Right, totally would happen in the real world. But that’s just the thing with Castle. Even though it has a farfetched plot, the characters make up for it and the chemistry between the two leads just makes you want to come back for more week after week.
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t watch Castle for the cases. What is great to watch – for me, at least – is the swordplay, that playful banter between Castle and Beckett and the ever present sexual tension hanging over every scene. It has been amazing to see how they have evolved from strangers in season 1 (with Beckett barely tolerating him) to something very close to best friends in season 3.
To celebrate that aspect of the show – which I’m willing to bet is what draws people in every week – I decided to put together a top 10 of those sizzling moments between our favorite crime fighting duo. That was the idea originally, but you have all suggested so many moments that the best I could do was narrow it down to the fifteen most voted. And trust me, that was not an easy feat. I know a lot of scenes you guys suggested didn’t make the cut, but think about it this way: we can always do a Castle Slideshow: When The Chemistry Between Castle And Beckett Is So Sizzling, It Almost Burns Through Your TV – Part 2 in the near future.
Keep in mind that this has no particular order and all the suggestions came from the fans.
This is, since day one My Favorite Show!! The chemistry is FABULOUS & it won't spoil anything if, they hook up-IT WILL WORK! Their chemistry is Sooo Strong that, I am "frothing at the lips" in anticipation of their FIRST OF MANY STEAMY 7 HOT LOVE SCENES- THESE TWO ARE SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER!
Eversince the very first episode-season 1, I KNEW THAT THEY WERE MAGICAL TOGETHER-I felt their
MAGIC IMMEDIATELY!!!-This, without a doubt, IS MY FAVORITE SHOW~KUDOS TO THE WRITERS, THE CAST & ALL INVOLVED IN THIS UNIQUE ENSEMBLE!!!
The Castle/Beckett banter and smoking hot chemistry is definitely one of the MANY reasons I keep coming back each week!
Castle and Beckett are witty, smart, funny characters on their own. And together they are unstoppable! It also doesn't hurt that Castle is ruggedly handsome, as he himself put it, and Stana is stunningly beautiful.
The last ep to air in Australia was 'Close Encounters of a Murderous Kind' which was both hilariously funny and had some great Castle/Beckett moments including the brilliant hickey scene!!
So this Aussie is currently impatiently waiting for the kiss ep to air!

HOT….there is really not other way to describe these two. Season 3 has been a delight. This is such a fun, well written show it is a joy to tune in every Monday night. Thanks for the slideshow.
Wow, you nailed it! I agree with this entire slide show. 1-15 = perfect! I also love that the kiss wasn't voted as the number 1 moment. Yes, it was great, but there are so many better Caskett moments from the three seasons. The freezer scene and the hug after disarming the bomb are my top 2 as well! So happy I took the time to look through this slideshow!
I agree with you… the cases are interesting… but I'm enjoying the chemistry between Castle & Beckett more! And yeah… there are moments when I feel that the they're about to burn…
Again… the tension between them is amazing… and leave me ALWAYS wishing for more…

I don't see Castle for the mistery too, the chemistry between Castle and Beckett is amazing, and it won't spoiled anything if they hook up, they can be so spicy. It's the best show in TV right now
If someone hasn't already mentioned it I would like to add the scene from "Flowers for Your Grave" when Castle "cold reads" Beckett with the skill of an expert profiler. The way the expressions and emotions change on Beckett's face as he does it is priceless! You can just feel the tension and apprehension she’s feeling as he hits closer and closer to home. It’s also one of the few times we’ve ever heard her call him, Rick. Here’s a clip of the scene on YouTube:

I, agree! You really need to make a second part…Beautiful choise of pictures…Just, I would have add another moment from the "Knockdown" episode…The kiss is the top, of course, but there is another great and emotional moment between the two of them: when Castle goes to Beckett's apartment and she asks him to go home because it could be too dangerous and he is not a cop and that's not his fight, and he starts to tell her that he doesn't shadows her just for fun or to annoy her, almost confessing her the real reason why he is still by her side…When she asks him "Then why you keep coming back, Rick?" and the camera linger over Castle's face then over Beckett's face when she perceives Castle's hesitation in answering her question…That was intense!
