The Redemption of 'Heroes'
Posted by Sam McPherson on November 2nd, 2009

Call Heroes the fast food of television: even through its very worst moments, it still manages to be greatly entertaining television. This label is most applicable to the second and third volumes (not seasons) of the series, which were mediocre at best, with only a few high points (puppetmaster Eric Doyle, for instance). However, I still tuned in every week — not because it was great television — but because I was entertained. Oh, and because there was always a…

The Middleman Cast Reunion & Table Read

For those of you who missed out on the very entertaining series The Middleman when it aired on ABC Family last year, I highly recommend that you order or rent the DVD as soon as possible.

Chock full of rapid-fire, hysterical pop culture references delivered by a refreshing cast of very talented yet relatively unknown actors, this…

5 Marvel Comics That Should Be TV Shows
Posted by Scott Fogg on June 18th, 2009

Since superheroes are here to stay, and the comic book industry looking into an uncertain future, it's time for Marvel Comics to bring some new (and some old) faces to the television screen.  Here are five comic books that desperately need to be turned into television shows.

Runaways

Created by Brian K Vaughan, Runaways focuses on a group of teens and pre-teens who accidentally discover that their parents are, in fact, super-villains.  They do what any rational teenager trapped in comic book…

Palin To Lauer – "Agree With me, or You're Naive."
Posted by Jon Lachonis on June 12th, 2009

Sarah Palin is proving that she hasn't lost her  ability to twist the truth since the presidential campaign – which she and John McCain lost in nearly historic proportions, by the way.  Appearing on Today this morning, Palin revisited the David Letterman scandal by first trying to twist Dave's joke about how she looks like a "Slutty Flight Attendant" into a hateful generalization of Flight Attendant's in general – it wasn't, just the slutty one – and then, so…

Fantastic Forecast – Why All Bets are On 'V'
Posted by Jon Lachonis on June 9th, 2009

Science Fiction is a gamble for the networks.  With pricey flops like Surface, Threshold, and Invasion in the recent past it is kind of surprising to see the three-letter-mafia going all out with yet another batch of far-out programming – but, hey, yay for us.

No doubt this latest batch will result in more impassioned “save our show” campaigns, and fierce fan scene advocacy, and the world will be better for all of it.  Such things are part of what…

Tonys Provide Neil Patrick Harris and Brett Michaels Concussion
Posted by Bryan Jones on June 8th, 2009

The Tonys – LOSERS

The annual awards show for Broadway was last night and boy was it about as boring as ever (I'm not saying Broadway is boring, just their awards show).  CBS sent out a press release today claiming victory in the fact that this year was the most watched Tonys in three years and had over 18% increases in several key demographics, but they left out the fact that only scored a 1.4 rating in the key 18-49…
