EW's Michael Ausiello has broke that Pam Grier, fresh off her six year stint as Kit Porter on Showtime's The L Word (one of my guilty, guilty, GUILTY pleasures), will step into the world of Smallville as DC Comic's ruthless villain with a badge, Agent Amanda Waller. We previously announced that Julian Sands was going to be making a guest appearance on Smallville and now TheCW has revealed that he will be playing Jor-El.  I'm not too knowledgeable about Superman mythology, but my sources (ie. Wikipedia and those few movies I've watched) tells me that he's Clark (aka Kal-El) Kent's biological father.  We have promo photos and a synopsis to share with you.

DVD ratings for week 3 of the fall season (Oct 5 – 11) are in and Smallville and Dollhouse have reached the top spot yet again.  For week three Dollhouse received a little more than 40% increase (it actually hit 50% increase for its premiere episode) which is definitely good news for the beleagured show.  Although the boost doesn't do a whole lot in regard to the actual overall ratings, for a show like Dollhouse, its certainly going to help.

TheCW was clearly expecting a resurgence of Zombie fandom in the wake of Zombieland.  First, the demon zombie thread opened on Supernatural, now good old Zod, of the 'kneel before' Zods, is preparing to release some zombie madness on Smallville. First impression: Smallville's zombie's are scarier.
