CBS is one of the last networks to announce its midseason schedule and it turns out it contains a few shake-ups. The ending of Medium and some schedule changes will make way for a few new midseason shows.
The first big change is the time-slot switch between Blue Bloods and The Defenders. Blue Bloods had been averaging a respectable 12 million viewers on Friday nights, but CBS has decided to move it into the 10:00 p.m. spot on Wednesday, previously held by The Defenders. Curiously, though, Blue Bloods will only remain on Wednesday nights for 4 consecutive weeks. The Defenders, in turn, will be moving to 8:00 p.m. on Friday nights and is expected to remain on Friday nights for the remainder of the season.
A new Criminal Minds spin-off (Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior) staring Forest Whitaker, and two new comedies, Mad Love (starring Jason Biggs, Sarah Chalke, Tyler Labine and Judy Greer) and Chaos (starring Freddy Rodriguez, Eric Close, Tim Blake and Kurtwood Smith) will also premiere during midseason.
