CBS Cancels The Defenders, $#*! My Dad Says, Mad Love

Deadline is reporting that CBS has come down with its first round of cancellations in the form of midseason comedy Mad Love, William Shatner starrer $#*! My Dad Says, and the Jim Belushi/Jerry O’Connell legal drama The Defenders. Said to be up in the air is Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, while Mike & Molly, Hawaii Five-O, and Blue Bloods are locks to return for their second seasons.

Starring Jason Biggs, Sarah Chalke, Judy Greer, and Tyler Labine, Mad Love debuted midseason and followed the similar How I Met Your Mother. $#*! My Dad Says provided the network with a lot of buzz for the profanity in its title, but it wrapped its season up early in February due to lower than expected ratings. The show was based on a popular twitter account of the same name. The Defenders had performed pretty decently on Fridays, but its poor performance on Wednesdays sealed its fate as the second CBS drama to be canceled this season, following Chaos.

CBS had previously canceled Chaos, Paula Abdul’s Live to Dance, and Medium.

Are you upset by any of these cancellations? What do you think will replace each show? How do you think CBS’s schedule will shape up this week?
