Here’s the basic setup: on Celebrity Wife Swap two famous mothers, each with opposing values, trade their households, lifestyles, and children for a week. Cameras capture the chaos. Historically the show has been simply Wife Swap, but this season raises the fame stakes, and one of the mothers is named Kate Gosselin, it just plain raises the stakes. Period.
What did poor Kendra Wilkinson do to have such a special hell set aside for her. On her side of the challenge, she will take on single motherhood of 8 children, twin girls Cara and Mady (12) and eight-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel Yikes. Kate, on the other hand, will only have to deal with four-year-old, Hank IV, aka “Little Hank.” Kate also has the advantage of a full-time maid and nanny in the Wilkinson household, while Kendra will have to tackle the brood with only part time help. That’s right, no Jon Gosselin.
When Kate touches down in Los Angeles, she tries to get used to relaxing — an entirely new concept to this working mom of eight. Meanwhile Kendra struggles, plunging head-first into the chaos of caring for eight kids. It’s a comic turn of events as Kendra tries to put all the kids to bed while Kate is treated to a girls’ night out. As the week progresses, Kendra continues to juggle all of her new responsibilities while Kate relishes her “me” time, far away from household chores and obligations.
