Chase Put on Hiatus by NBC

If you're a show on NBC and you're only pulling in mediocre numbers, you should probably be concerned.  The network recently cut down on the number of The Cape episodes ordered and has also decided to go some serious re-tooling on Law & Order: Los Angeles.  Now we've learned that they've pulled the new show Chase from their schedule.

Chase premiered in the fall of 2010 and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.  It centers around a group of U.S. Marshalls that track down fugitives.  Despite not having stellar ratings, the show was given a full season pick-up order.  But things look dire now, as NBC has decided to pull the show from its schedule.  Instead of airing an episode last night, NBC decided to try out two hours of its reality show Minute to Win ItMinute ended up scoring a 3.0 rating, as opposed to the 1.2 rating that Chase brought in last week.

Going forward, the network has opted to air two hours of Minute on Wednesday nights going forward, with a combination of older episodes and original episodes at 8:00 p.m. and a new episode airing in the 9:00 p.m. slot.  Cancellation for Chase seems like a forgone conclusion at this point, unless the network decides on some heavy re-tooling.
