After being renewed for a second season this past September following weeks of ratings growth, Dance Moms now has its dance card punched with a premiere date for said second season. Lifetime's fastest rising show, both in word-of-mouth and numbers, will be unleashing the crazy all over again on Tuesday, January 10th at 9:00. This summer, the show aired on Wednesday nights.
It's a sign of good faith for Dance Moms, as the show will be back barely three months after its first season finale and it will be leading into 24 Hour Catwalk, the latest fashion-reality show from Lifetime. The show follows a group of dancers from the Abby Lee Dance Company as they attempt to get their feet wet in an increasingly competitive industry and try to maximize their potential all at once. Season one showed the dancers at various competitions, as well as dealing with Broadway casting calls and music videos; seeing how big the show got, I'm sure we can look forward to even more dazzling opportunities in season two.
Joining the cast for season two will be several new faces, but don't forget about the show's namesakes, as the out-of-control behavior from the moms will most certainly continue into season two. More opportunities may be on the way from the show, but there's still the matter of which child will do what and how Abby divvies everything up, so if you thought these moms played rough before, look out. It's about to be a larger and louder battle for the "top spot" at the Abby Lee Dance Company and I'm guessing nobody's safe from the crossfire this time around.

I want more Maddie! She is clearly the best dancer and the most talented. She does have a bit of an attitude problem, but she is a star. Chloe is a wonderful dancer too, but she just doesn't match up to Maddie. I also love sweet little Paige!
Maddie is so full of herself! She has the worst attitude in an eight year girl I have ever seen. Chloe's a way better dance than her. Chloe got the lead in the music video, not Maddie.

Well I like Chloe because she's just as good if not better than Maddie but Abby always gives Maddie better choreography. I also like Paige and Brooke and I don't really like Nia. I just hope stupid Vivi and her mom Cathy the Clown with the twist cone hair isn't on or I will shoot the tv screen with darts!!! Just hope Chloe gets her chance to shine. :-)

Have you seen the episode where they do the "Make You Mine" routine? They were dancing on those chairs. They deserved first, and they would have gotten first place, but the only reason they got second was because stupid Nia screwed up the routine and danced noticably far away from everyone else. She was way off. So, what I'm trying to say is she's not very awesome.
Nia improved so much during the last part of the season.

Chloe is definitely my fave on Dance Moms. I think she and Maddie should do a lot of duets together, because those would win. But I also think that Maddie shouldn't get a new solo every week. Abby should give Chloe just as good choreography as Maddie and spend just as much time with her perfecting her solos.
I agree. Maddie is a great dancer, but doesn't have the cerissma that Chloe has. Chloe is gorgeous, dedicated, talented and deserves to dance without being compared to Maddie. I reckon that Abby is a great teacher though, she produces stars, because Chloe is a star! Every child in the group would be better if the got the choreography and one-on-one time that Maddie gets.

I HATE Maddie Ziegler! Mommy needs to stop spending her boyfriend's paychecks on vacations with him and dance. Mommy's boyfriend should be paying for an orthodontist to do something about those teeth of hers. I have teeth just like hers, and I would definitely take an orthodontist over dancing. That girl has a serious attitude problem. She's always bragging about how she's so good, when Chloe is better than her anyway. I remember the pool when she couldn't get the water melon and claimed Nia hurt her. Yeah, right. She just can't handle losing. And I love how her mother doesn't ever care about her. She'd rather be with her boyfriend than watching her daughter dance.

Chloe definitely deserved the lead in the video. She worked so hard all season, and defininitely deserved it. Maddie deserves to have her ears pinned up and she should be hung by her ears on the wall.

I love maddie! she is the best dancer and not because she has better choreography. she is amazing and chloe is good but not as good. chloe has no self esteem or low while maddies is very high and pushes herself to be better with more practice time than all of the other girls. Abby doesnt really pick favorites, chloe and maddie are indeed the best dancers in the group so far. So my opinion is that maddie is the best dancer of them all but this is just MY opinion. whenever they are ina group dance and they are all doing the same choreography, my eyes go directly to Maddie because she is a beautiful dancer! plus the only reason chloe got the lead in the music video was because she looked more like LUX if it was on who was the most talented dancer it would be Maddie.

I can't wait for the next season. Seriously, about a week ago, I did not have a clue what dance moms was and I watch every episode online and I'm hooked and can't wait. I hope they keep all the girls from last year. I don't know about Maddie though her dad said "I will do everything in my power to make sure my daughter doesn't dance at your studio next year." I hope they get some new girls! :)

Maddie is the best for many many many many reasons chloe and everyone else IS just as good but the way maddie pushes herslef to be the best and it might come across cocky but she has lots of self esteem that goes a long way chloe has just as good dances as maddie but maddie really pushes herself and performs although chloe could easily beat maddie she is good enough maddie is the best performer and has a real dancer attitude :)

What needs to be realized is that EACH of them is there own person! There own personality, emotions, style of dance. I do agree Maddie needs a little bit of an attitude adjustment, but the fact of the matter is, WE DON’T KNOW HER!!! We know she loves to dance, and she is a well versed dancer. But we have NO idea what goes on behind closed doors. Chloe, Brooke and Paige, and Nia are incredible dancers!!! I can’t and won’t choose a favorite because they all have different styles. The one who truly needs an attitude adjustment is Abby! She is a one-track mind person, is always right and always has to have the last say in everything! Good for her for pushing the dancers, that’s the only way they will become the dancer they strive to be. But the pyramid thing, WTF! She is belittling everyone who isn’t one the top! She needs to spend the same amount of time and give every dancer choreography that suits their style!

I agree the pyramid is a bit much. And I hate how it hardly ever changes. Almost every week, Maddie is on top. I think Chloe was only on top once or twice. One week, Brooke was on top and she definitely deserved it. But I hate how Paige, Nia, and Mackenzie are all kind of off in the shadows. Abby may not realize this, but every dancer is important in the group. It wouldn't be a group number if it was just Maddie and Chloe dancing. It would be a duet. Every one of those members is giving their all, and while I do agree Nia, Paige, and Brooke aren't the best of the pack, they are still very important! It does seem, though, that Abby plays favorites with Maddie. I don't think Chloe has the confidence that Maddie has because Abby doesn't give her that confidence. She should be spending EQUAL amount with each dancer. I hate how on the show they show little glimpses of Nia, Paige, and Brooke's routines but the WHOLE THING of Maddie and Chloe's. I love Chloe, and she's definitely my fave on Dance Moms, but the other dancers do deserve the spotlight sometimes.

Actually, I read on Wikipedia that the show created the pyramid. That's why they did it. Abby hadn't done it until the show asked her to. Also, I read on Wikipedia that Brooke is in an older group at ALDC and Mackenzie is in a younger group at ALDC, but their parents wanted them to be on the show, too, with their little/older sisters.
Maddie is not that great and she's s full of herself. She's never happy for the other girls when they win, as the others are esp Chloe. Maddie is like this now, imagine her as she gets older, eg Lindsay Lohan! Chloe is much better looking and just as good a dancer, Maddie is just pushy.
