The cast for season 13 of Dancing With the Stars was announced on Monday night (read more here). This morning, during Good Morning America, ABC announced the pairings. There will be a few new Dancing With the Stars dance pros introduced this year.
(1) David Arquette and Kym Johnson. Kym is a two-time winner of the show and was part of the winning team in season 13 when she was paired with Pittsburgh Steelers player Hines Ward.
(2) Elisabetta Canalis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. George Clooney's former girlfriend will be paired with Valentin, who is the brother of Dancing With the Stars pro pro Maksim's Chmerkovskiy.
(3) Ron Artest and Peta Murgatroyd. Peta will be making her debut as a dance pro this season.
(4) Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer. This season will be Lacey's fifth year as a pro.
(5) Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas. Mark has won the show twice before, when paired with Shawn Johnson and Kristi Yamaguchi.
(6) Nancy Grace and Tristan McManus. Tristan is a new dance pro for this season.
(7) Robert Kardashian and Cheryl Burke. Cheryl has won Dancing With the Stars twice before.
(8) Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya. This season will mark Anna's eighth time competing in the show.
(9) Ricki Lake and Derek Hough. Derek has won the show three times. He and Jennifer Grey hold the record for the most number of perfect scores.
(10) J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff. Karina has not won the show, but she and Mario Lopez did come in second place.
(11) Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. With both Maksim and Valentin in the competition, it'll be brother-against-brother.
(12) Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani. Tony has never won the competition.

Season 13 of Dancing With the Stars will premiere on Monday, September 19 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET. On Tuesday, September 20, there will be two hours of original programming, beginning with "Dancing with the Stars: Meet the Cast" (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), followed by the premiere of "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show" (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET).
Derek has actually won twice – with Jennifer Grey and the season prior to that with Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls.

ok all i can say is i do watch the show. most of the time its several weeks in before i do. the reason is to let the dumbasses get voted off. the one thing in common each year is im still waiting for all the stars you should have. i cant dance but i feel i can do just as good as anyone you have on the show. and this season looks like it could be the worst so far. thats just me. looks like you are the bottom of the list. the only reason chaz bono is on i feel is he is bo y ????? and not a girl now. just sayin….

I am very upset that Carson, Chaz, David and Nancy are still on the show and Mark and Christin is sent packing. To much emphasis is placed on the likes of special interest groups and to little on ability. I know that the judges have their favorite, but next year, if there is a next year, more credence should be put on ability and not who is more popular. I will still watch the show but not with the same enthusiasm.
