Kris, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the Teflon-Tom moniker, because your right. I have never forgave Tom for making Lynette go to work in Season One, because he didn't understand the crap Lynette is going through at home with those kids. And speaking of the kids, here is another name for Tom: Can't Miss Scavo, because when he shoots sperm he always gets a baby. The man has enough kids to start his own Cabbage Patch line of dolls.

To a degree I see what you are saying. Not to say it was unacceptable to call her out, but I still believe if Lynette was going to be called out about her deception it shouldn't have been by the beneficiary of her deception to distract from his wrong doing. What was wrong with Tom just facing the music and being wrong on his own without Lynette having to be made out to be big bad Lynette? Frankly I think Lynette is put under the microscope more than any other character (scapegoated even) and as for Tom I call him Teflon Tom-guilt never sticks.

Yea, Kris, but lying is lying. That's like me telling you to not lie about your age, but I am going around stealing sporadically for no reason. It's apples and oranges, but they are both fruit in the end.

Funny how about them apples Lynette because I saw Tom as comparing apples to oranges. First off Tom hid what he was doing from Lynette. He lied to try to keep her in the dark. Lynette did no such thing. Tom knew the whole story of not being upfront with Carlos and Gaby from the get go. He accepted the promotion and extra money and benefits it brought the family and him. He had no quams about reaping the benefits and using it to keep him in school. Funny it suddenly bothers him when he needs a smokescreen to distract from what he was doing.

Lynette did not randomly decide to keep Carlos in the dark for no reason whatsoever-he started the issue with his not playing by the rules. Not to say that made Lynette's actions justified, but it's a whole different story than Tom's situation.
