With Vanessa Williams joining the show full time as new vixen Renee Perry, Desperate Housewives will need a few good men to serve as fodder for Renee and Bree to fight over since they are the only one single on the block, so far. How about a father son combo for the job?
EW's Ausiello has broke news that Smallville alum John Schneider will be setting foot on the lane as the father of Keith, who is portrayed by the B.A.G. himself, Brian Austin Green.
Keith will serve as the newly single Bree's contractor, who Bree begins to crush on something serious. Enter Renee, who's husband is a baseball player and will serve as Bree's competition for Keith's affections. Wonder if Mr. Schneider's character will serve as a solution to the equation, or he could just be there to make it even worse. I mean, this is Wisteria Lane after all...
Ausiello announced that while we don't have a character name for Schneider, we do have a start date for his guest stint, which will the seventh episode of the upcoming season.
TV viewers would recognize that Schneider isn't the only person with Smallville connections. Brian Austin Green also served as the Smallville's version of Metallo, a cyborg villain of Clark Kent's. Schneider himself was a series regular for five years on the show, portraying the role of Jonathan Kent. Since his departure, Schneider has done guest appearances on Smallville, with his latest appearance being in the first episode of the upcoming tenth and final season of the long running series.
