By steering clear of the novels after season one, the producers of Dexter have managed to foil spoiler lovers looking for an easy fix. Intel on the show can be as difficult to find as Dexter's conscience. Yeah, yeah, I know – he is a killer with a conscience, or so he likes to convince… himself. Read on for what we have on Dexter's fourth at-bat.
The Plot - Dexter is good, but could there be somebody better? Yes, as a matter of fact their is. The Trinity Killer has evaded capture for 30 years. Screen legend John Lithgow portrays this seasons big-baddie, whose proficiency in the crimson parade turns our beloved Dexter (Michael C. Hall) into somewhat of a fan-boy. Will Dexter's fascination with Trinity's skill trigger a psychotic paradigm shift that finds Dexter's 'dark passenger' slipping behind the wheel? A source who has had the opportunity to breeze through some of the early scripts for the season says this seems to be the center of gravity for the story, at least in the beginning. Dexter has now settled down, and is trying to reconcile the beast within with his husband/father/father figure exterior. The evolution of his inner psychopath may lead Dexter towards some self- destructive moves.
The Lundy Factor – Remember when Debra went all gaga for the older – or, elderly - FBI agent Lundy? Well Lundy is back. If you remember, Lundy left Debra kind of cold – but she was at piece with the outcome and eventually hooked up with smoking guitar man Anton. Turns out that things have gotten a little more serious between the two since we last saw them. Actor David Ramsey, who plays Anton, spoke with HollyWoodTheWriteWay and revealed that things had gotten a little more serious between the two, and from the sounds of things Anton is being fleshed out as more of a lead character. "All I can tell you about the character this season is that we get deeper and more involved with his character. Deb moves into Anton's apartment, that's all I can say." Ramsey tells HollyWoodTheWriteWay, and he says a lot more too. Read the rest here.
