If this week's episode of Dexter seemed a little too domestic then brace yourself, next week Dexter returns to it's neo-noir brand of murder, mystery, and moral ambiguity. Spoilers ahead.
With this week's Dexter, in the aftermath of Trinity's (John Lithgow) latest 'murder' Dexter (Michael C. Hall) wound up mired in a domestic crisis when a neighborhood vandal's choice of targets began to hit close to home. Not a bad way to spend an hour at all, but kind of lacking in the psychological cruelty Dexter's crack writing staff usually inflicts upon us. Don't worry though, we've heard a few things about next week's episode of Dexter, Dex Takes a Holiday, and it sounds nothing short of awesome.
On the agenda in this episode:
- A dirty cop that has to go down. Dexter style. But, not without a fight.
- Two couples will make tough choices in this episode. One choice will result in a relationship being kept secret, the other will result in the relationship going public - with destructive consequences.
- Trinity will get wind of Lundy's blood-hounding, and will act to protect himself - but the retired FBI agent won't be his only target. With another person in danger, this whole Trinity situation is about to get personal for somebody.
Showtime has also released two clips from the episode that may help you out in trying to suss out the meaning behind these clues. Be careful, though. Showtime attempted to censor the clips but some naughty language made it through. If I were you, I would not consider these clips 'work safe.'
