Dexter Spoilers - A Revealing Peek at Julia Stiles' Character

They say a picture is worth a million words, right? How about two pictures that reveal � or seem to reveal � a LOT about Julia Stile's character on Dexter, Lumen. Seems Lumen is a bit of unfinished business from one Mr. Boyd, who Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is looking to banish into his slide collection on tonight's episode, "Hey Bandit." These promo pics released by Showtime for episode 4 of Dexter season 5, aptly titled "Beauty and the Beast," reveal Lumen wading about in the very same swamp Boyd was dumping his victim's barrels in, and she looks like she just extricated herself from one. This certainly jives with the description given of Stiles's character a few months back: "psychologically and physically damaged." Maybe, though, this swamp isn't where she's found. Wink, wink.

But wait, what's this we see? In yet another image from the same Swamp we see one Mr. Dexter Morgan. This raises some interesting possibilities: why would Dexter return to the swamp? It could be that he is there to further cover his tracks and finds Lumen, alive � since she doesn't fit the code, he'd have to let her live. Another very strong possibility is that someone else discovers the gruesome dumping ground and Dexter is there in his official capacity as a forensics technician, but I don't see much in the way of blood splatter there.

No matter how you slice it, this new information makes Stile's Lumen even more interesting than all of that artful-dodging on the behalf of the Dexter creative team. This wouldn't be the first time Dexter rescued someone, but this 'victim' may have a special place in her heart for the guy who offed the sadistic S.O.B that was trying to stuff her in a barrel. Will Dexter and Lumen have 'that' sort of relationship? Stay tuned to find out.
