And it's pretty stylish, in a post-modern art deco sort of way. How appropriate is it that the new Doctor Who logo mixes modern, future, and past artistic influences - giving it a sort of anachronistic feel. Very appropriate. Cue the die-hard fan complaints... now. If new 'Who' Matt Smith sat off a firestorm in the Dr. Who fan community with his conservative duds, there will no doubt be at least a mild roar heard over this minimalist new logo. For what it's worth, I think it's cool. [In accordance with the new FTC guidelines, I feel compelled to tell you I was not given any gifts for this positive review. Cheap-skates.]
Oh, and speaking of Matt Smith. New behind the scenes pics indicate that the new Doctor may have adopted yet another new look. There has been some rumbling that Matt Smith's Who may have 'several' new looks. Maybe the Dr. Who gang decided to work the furor over the doctor's wardrobe into an overarching sub-plot. Who knows.
In these two pics from SFX you can see that the doctor is dressed in a far more contemporary get-up. However! A number of fans have pointed out that the condition of the Doctor's Garb suggests he recently went through a regeneration, so this could be all that remains of David Tennant's clothing. It's not wrong to hope, though.

Those are Tennants pants, so this must be right after the regeneration.
