Looks like Doctor Who's August 27th midseries premiere looks to trump June 4th's midseries finale.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, the show's executive producer Steven Moffat promised that the premiere episode, titled "Let's Kill Hitler," would be epic. Labeling it a "cannot miss" episode, Moffat declared that the events of the episode, which will see the Doctor crash land the TARDIS into Adolf Hitler's office (and inadvertently save his life) will be the episode in which "everything changes."
"It just rockets along," added star Matt Smith, who plays the Doctor, according to TVLine.
And what about that revelation at the end of "A Good Man Goes to War," where we found out that River was Amy and Rory's daughter? “You think you know the truth about River,” Moffat said. “You don’t know it yet. There’s loads more to come.”
"The whole dynamic is going to change," said Karen Gillan, who plays companion Amy Pond.
Doctor Who will begin the second half of its sixth series on August 27 in the US (a BBC premiere date is still unknown). The episode, "Let's Kill Hitler," will kick off the season's final six episodes, which will cap off with the as-yet untitled season finale (a single-part episode, for once).
