First off, we know, we know. There is no actor who did his Doctor Who run longer than he was supposed to. So this is NOT an article about how Matt Smith will play the Good Doctor officially, again. Rather, he has expressed how much joy he had playing with the other Doctors in the 50th anniversary episode, and how he would gladly do that again if given the chance. I mean, who wouldn’t want to play Doctor Who forever?
He has even go so far and said he will “Totally be back as Dr. Who”, but we are 99% sure another reunion is what he is speaking about. As a matter of fact, right now he is playing the lead in the musical version of American Psycho in London. No, we are not even kidding. Come to think of it, I would pay good money to see that. Do they actually sing the Huey Lewis parts? My God, that could be the best play ever made. The simple fact that I knew nothing about it until I wrote that just now tells me I need to do some catching up on my Matt Smith trivia. I also need to book a trip to London.
Matt played a pretty great Doctor Who, though, and we are glad is willing to ride the Tardis again if asked. I would hate to have to wait another fifty years for an episode like that.
